Any member/parent/guardian of the Community Outreach & Restoration Association, shall indemnify the Community Outreach & Restoration Association, its board of directors, national/branch officers and advisors, and save them harmless from and against all claims, actions, damages, liability and expenses in from, related to or in connection with any volunteering activities that either members self-starting or Community Outreach & Restoration Association organized, effectively immediately and until further notice.
If the above-named indemnified shall be made a party to any litigation commenced by or against a person/organization, then the person/organization shall protect and hold the above-named indemnified in connection with such litigation.
All participants in Community Outreach & Restoration Association organized, sponsored, or operated events or activities consent to being photographed and/or videotaped while on volunteering activities for promotional use by the Community Outreach & Restoration Association and/or the Community Outreach & Restoration Association authorized entities.
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes the guidelines and expectations for the use of electronic resources and services (collectively, "Services") provided by the Community Outreach & Restoration Association ("CORA") to its volunteers, employees, and members (collectively, "Users"). By accessing or using any Services, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this AUP and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Services Covered
This AUP applies to a variety of Services offered by CORA, including but not limited to:
Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Email Services
The CORA Website
Project Management Tools (e.g., ClickUp, Airtable)
Design Tools (e.g., Canva)
Social Media Accounts
3. Acceptable Use
3.1 Lawful Use: Users shall only use the Services for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 Respectful Use: Users shall use the Services in a professional and respectful manner. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from:
Using offensive or harassing language.
Engaging in discriminatory or offensive conduct.
Violating the privacy of others.
3.3 Confidentiality: Users shall maintain the confidentiality of all information accessed, stored, or transmitted through the Services, including but not limited to any information designated as confidential by CORA or any third party. Users shall not disclose such information without prior written authorization.
3.4 Security: Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and for promptly notifying CORA of any suspected unauthorized access to their accounts or security breaches.
3.5 No Personal Use: The Services are primarily for conducting CORA business. Personal use of the Services shall be minimal and incidental to the User's role with CORA.
3.6 Prohibited Activities: Users shall not use the Services for any of the following purposes:
Sending spam or unsolicited commercial emails.
Installing or distributing malware or viruses.
Gaining unauthorized access to any system or network.
Interfering with the use of the Services by others.
Engaging in any activity that may damage or disrupt the Services.
4. Third-Party Services
Certain Services may utilize or integrate with third-party services that have their own terms of use. Users are responsible for complying with the terms of use of any such third-party services.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
CORA reserves the right to monitor User activity on the Services in accordance with applicable law. CORA may take disciplinary action, up to and including termination of access to the Services and potential removal from volunteer or membership roles, for violations of this AUP.
6. Disclaimer
CORA makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Services, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. CORA shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use of the Services.
7. Updates to this AUP
CORA reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time. Users are responsible for keeping themselves informed of any changes to the AUP. Continued use of the Services following any modification to this AUP shall constitute the User's acceptance of the modified AUP.
8. Governing Law
This AUP shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota.
9. Entire Agreement
This AUP constitutes the entire agreement between CORA and the User with respect to the use of the Services and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements.
